Abatement Worker

**Location**: Port Coquitlam, BC
**Additional pay**:
- Overtime pay
- Travel time for sites outside of the GVRD / Fraser Valley
**Key Job Responsibilities**_include but are not limited to_:
- Applicants must have a valid Asbestos license.
- Loading and unloading material supplies and equipment.
- Abatement remediation and demolition.
- Abatement of asbestos, mold, lead and other building materials.
- Cleaning up spills, removing construction debris and other duties as required.
- Perform abatement duties as a preferred vendor for the restoration company.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Respirator is a part of the PPE and will be required to adhere to the standards of WorkSafe BC.
**Job Knowledge and Skills**:
- On-the-job training will be provided, based on the task assigned and tools that may be required.
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to carry/lift up to 50lbs.
- Able to get to the job site on a daily basis.
- Nice to have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle would be an asset.
- Spanish speaking would be considered an asset.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
