We are currently recruiting for a **NACE Coating Inspector **for projects in the **Lower Mainland/Burnaby, BC **and various other projects throughout BC.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform Coating Inspections & Quality Control Procedures, as outlined by our quality management system, client specifications, and coating manufacturer recommendations;
- Assist with assembling and preparing coating work packages, and ensure they meet client & manufacturer specifications;
- Responsible for liaising with Site Coating Superintendents, Project Managers & our Client;
- Document, maintain, and submit QA/QC reports as per the company Quality Manual;
- Prepare Inspection Test Plans, and submit to the Client prior to commencement of project;
- Completion of our NACE Quality Control Turnover Package to client at end of each scope of work;
- Maintain our Quality Control Program;
- Assist with internal audits and reviews;
- Provide guidance on policies and procedures that may affect the quality management system;
- Maintain and ensure positive client relationships, and assist in resolving customer issues or discrepancies;
- Assist in overseeing production on major industrial coating contracts;
- Assist in proper planning and scheduling of resources, including required tooling for work fronts;
- Provide information on an ad hoc basis to business unit;
- Assist supervisors in field operations as required;
- Provide leadership and mentorship to employees on-site;
- Assist in managing safety activities to promote a safe work environment;
- Coordinate with onsite client representatives;
- Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance;
- Work in a safe and conscientious manner

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- NACE L1, L2 or L3 certification required;
- SSPC C3/C5 Lead Abatement certification an asset;
- 5 years of industrial coatings experience required;
- PMP designation is considered an asset;
- Red Seal Painter certification is considered an asset;
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.) is required;
- Must be adept with two-part epoxies, zinc coatings, high temperature coatings, 100% solid coatings, internal linings and surface prep to all SSPC surface prep classes;
- Requires thorough knowledge of lead abatement methods, protections, and testing for workers;
- Requires excellent oral, written, and presentation skills;
- Requires ability build a positive team environment, must posses strong leadership qualities;
- Requires ability to interact and communicate with client representatives;
- Requires the ability to create and communicate the project strategic direction;
- Requires strong organization and time management skills;
- Requires close attention to detail
