Assembly and Test Techinician

We are looking for an Assembly and Test Technician to work within our Operations team and support our product commercialization efforts.

**Responsibilities**
- Assembly and test support of production build this will include but not limited to:

- Perform complex assembly of photonic components.
- Support and manage die and wire bonding equipment.
- Perform optical and electrical testing at wafer and die level.
- Support and manage test equipment.
- Monitor the functioning of all production equipment and assist in maintenance and corrective actions. Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to eliminate breakdowns.
- Manage shop floor consumables inventory.
- Support other general technician activities as and when required.
- Work different hours/shift if required.

**Skills and experience**
- Technologist or Technician diploma
- 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with the following are assets:

- Die attach
- Wire bonding
- Manual assembly of micro-optics
- Hand soldering of fine pitch devices
- Laser die burn-in and test
- Wafer test and handling
