**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Practice workplace safety to ensure the safety of fellow employees and public
- Works under the direction of the site foreman to complete daily schedule of work
- Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
- advise foreman of any required maintenance repairs
- participate in routine maintenance

**Required Skills**:

- Experience with digging basements, backfills, fine and rough grading, etc.
- 5+ years experience in the operation of heavy equipment in a high traffic environment (and in close proximity to other workers).
- Knowledge reading locate sheets and plans
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including backing up procedures, use of flagmen and spotters, signage, incident reporting, required personal safety equipment, and lifting heavy loads.
- Knowledge of equipment operation, cleaning and maintenance requirements
- Effective communication skills (both listening and verbal)

**Working Conditions**
- Must work in all weather conditions and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
- Must be able to work independently and maintain and schedule of work

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
