**Shop Floor Production Coordinator**

The Shop Floor Production Coordinator's aim is to ensure that product manufactured by ATH Stainless Steel is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal standards and requirements. This is done while maintaining open communication with and leading the shop workers by continuously keeping track of hours worked and shop files. The Shop Floor Production Coordinator monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system, produces data and reports on performance, measuring against set standards.

**Shop Floor Production Coordinator Responsibilities -**
- Distributing and organizing workloads
- Reviewing drawing requirements and making sure they are met
- Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
- Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety
- Looking at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
- Some Press Brake Operation
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
- Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Assure the reliability and consistency of production through monitoring processes and checking the final output
- Report all identified malfunctions and cooperate closely with the production executives to ensure immediate action
- Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them
- Using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
- Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.

**Knowledge and Requirements**
- Metal fabrication shop experience.
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.
- Certifications related to Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
- ‘Ontario Health and Safety Act.’, ‘WHMIS’ (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System) and FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Great attention to detail and a results driven approach.

**Required Equipment & Tools**
- Foot protection (CSA Certified Shoes or Boots).
- Eye and Ear Protections

**Working Conditions**

Working conditions are normal for a metal fabrication environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
