Shipping Clerk

**Title**: Shipping Clerk

**Reports to**: Shipping Manager

**Based at**:Mucci PAC Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario

**Type of Employment**: Full time, permanent, 6 days a week, and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

**Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Check all outbound product and verify against P. O’s and packing slips.
- Prepare customs paperwork and packing slips.
- Inspect contents of shipments for quantities, descriptions, and proper goods
- Route shipments to the appropriate location(s)
- Prepare outgoing shipments including required documentation.
- Ensure the outgoing product is properly packaged, secured, and labelled as per customer specifications.
- Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of finished goods, material, components, and packaging.
- Load and unload trucks
- Data Entry as assigned by shipping supervisor or manager.
- Track Inventory between warehouses.
- Investigate shipping related concerns/ Issues.
- Move and manage appointments in TMS.
- Any other administrative duties assigned by management.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Must have 1-2 years’ experience in a shipping clerk, customs, or similar role.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Famous is considered an asset
- Must be a team player, able to multi-task and learn quickly
- Must have strong sense of urgency
- Must be able to function in a high capacity within a stressful work environment
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Physical Abilities**:

- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
