**Job Purpose**:
To work closely with the CEO and the wider team to lead the growth of operations, and in particular, specific projects within all departments of the company. To be a strong leader that is invested in fostering a positive inclusive culture. To keep projects on time, on budget and executed with excellence. To support and contribute to all departments, as required.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- 5+ years experience in Operations Management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Education: College diploma or University degree in Food Science, and/ or Business, is preferred.
- A background in Food Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality Assurance and/or Food Science is an asset.
- Experience in Project Management is an asset.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Efficient. Excellent time-management skills. Experience meeting deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading teams and meetings.
- Self-motivated. Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Collaborative. A team player.
- Results oriented.
- Strong data management skills.
- High level critical thinking ability.

- Experience in scaling and growing a food business is an asset.
- Experience with grant writing is an asset.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage projects in Operations, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Logistics, Sales, Marketing.
- Build on and refine a project management framework and define processes.
- Execute and adapt strategies for completing projects on time and budget.
- Provide clear and concise directions to the project team.
- Operate with the philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Be a leader with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Learn the business through on the job training in each department to understand the company’s systems, structure and culture.
- Work closely with the CEO to understand project objectives, timelines and budgets.
- Reports directly to the CEO.
- Manages, schedules and leads regular meetings with team members.
- Collaborate with the team to garner buy-in on projects and their outcomes.
- Scrutinize Production and Quality Assurance projects to provide guidance and insight.

**Job Details**:

- Location: Beamsville, ON
- On-site.
- 3 month contract with option to become permanent, full time.
- Monday to Friday.
- Health benefits available.
- Living Wage Employer.
- Compensation: $35-45 to start.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
