JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for coordinating daily production activities to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality & safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):
Ø Monitors operations for efficiency and safety. Ensures all regulatory requirements are met.

Ø Assists with production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers.

Ø Performs the same work duties as those of whom they supervise and/or perform more difficult skilled tasks or assists in their performance.

Ø Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.

Ø Collaborates with production staff and upper management to solve work related problems.

Ø Resolves personnel problems, complaints and formal grievances when possible or refers them to higher levels of management for resolution.

Ø Prepares and maintains employee records such as attendance and hours worked.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Serves as the direct report for plant and lead personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
**Equipment Used**: Operates equipment such as, but not limited to torches, drills, forklifts, cranes, files, grinders and calculators. Wears protective safety gear as required.
- **Knowledge/Skills**: Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs; Knowledge of hand tools and equipment as described above. Knowledge of specific and general safety policies and procedures as it relates to the plant.

**Education/Experience**: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Language Skills**: Oral comprehension and expression. Ability to read and write. Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of personnel.

**Mathematical Skills**: Basic mathematical skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages, basic algebra.

**Reasoning Ability**: Inductive and deductive reasoning, ability to draw conclusions and able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**Attendance Requirement**: Regular attendance required during plant hours. Occasional overtime.

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
