**About the Position**:
Hazelview’s technology department supports investment management (Hazelview Investments) in addition to the property management arm (Hazelview Properties). Hazelview Investments is an active investor, owner, and fund manager of global real estate assets in direct real estate and publicly traded real estate assets. Hazelview Properties consists of property management teams who support multi-family residential apartments across Canada.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with IT leadership to set the strategy of tech and data solutions and the appropriate processes to maximize the success of business and tech initiatives in alignment with the overall IT strategy and overarching corporate strategy.
- Engage with internal stakeholder groups to identify opportunities for supporting departmental objectives through technology-driven process optimization, actionable data & insights, and/or digital services.
- Implement and lead a formal data governance approach and increase the maturity of the enterprise data capability and data quality.
- Collaboratively build and maintain an inventory of business systems and integrations to ensure reliability, performance, and efficiency.
- Be the owner of several business systems from a technology perspective and provide administrative support. Systems include but not limited to SAP Concur,
- Develop and implement business systems integration solutions as needed.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of all components of data solutions from queries, stored procedures, ETL process (SSIS, Azure Data Factory), to report building (SSRS / Power BI).
- Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for data warehousing in conjunction with data users, department leaders, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide design and technical optimization for existing data warehouse implementation and participate in the on-going development of new data elements.
- Participate in the research, planning, selection and implementation of emerging technologies that can be incorporated to successfully deliver on the IT strategy such as GenAI.

**Job Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND/OR 8+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
- 8+ years of experience with business analyst processes, frameworks with documenting processes and data flows
- 5+ years software engineering in MS full stack development (web or desktop apps) in C# and/or VB
- 5+ years experience developing in Power BI with advanced knowledge of data modeling, dax, and visualizations.
- 7+ years of MS/Azure SQL stack - TSQL, SSIS/SSRS and Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake
- 5+ years using Python for data analysis (Pandas, Dask, Numpy, etc.)
- 3+ years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, project management, and budgeting.
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Proven experience in BI/data warehousing design and development
- Experience in data science and big data is a big plus.
- Experience in MS Power Automate and Power Apps is a plus.
- Experience in administering systems such as Salesforce, Bloomberg, Ultipro, SAP Concur, Yardi Voyager, is a big plus.
- Proficient in building secure architecture using: Encryption, azure key vault, Access control, Network security.
- Knowledge in APIs, web services concepts, standards and JSON, XML, XML Schema
- Finance sector experience and fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting is a big plus.
