**MARSAN FOODS**, is a Canadian-owned food manufacturing company founded in 1970. With facilities in Scarborough, Marsan serves customers within casual dining, retail grocery, healthcare and airline sectors.

**Role**:
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of HR functions.

**Job Summary**:

- Conduct full-cycle recruitment for both office and production roles
- Prepare and deliver orientation to new employees
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance for employees and management related to interpretations of HR policies, complaints, employee disputes
- Conduct investigations into claims of harassment
- Maintain employment files and documentation for audit purposes, update employee information, enroll new employees
- Manage the bi-weekly payroll process for hourly and salaried employees using ADP
- Manage learning assignments in the LMS (annual training)
- Determine compensation based on skills matrix, assist with the employee performance appraisal program
- Ensure ongoing enrolment and eligibility for group benefits and respond to employee inquiries
- Draft all necessary employee documentation
- Uphold compliance with OHSA and MOL
- Co-chair the JHSC and develop/ monitor health and safety programs
- Improve current policies and procedures
- Facilitate training programs to ensure legal compliance, safety, and employee development
- Participate in other HR related work assigned

**Qualification**:

- Post-secondary degree or certification in Human Resources
- Minimum 1-year experience in a Human Resources role, bonus if manufacturing environment
- Understanding of provincial and federal legislation and employment standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills with the ability to effectively meet competing deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
