POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is looking for a passionate, committed partnerships and business expert to join the Partnerships team to help drive operational excellence. This position will contribute to BDC’s partnerships overall portfolio management, keeping a solid governance structure and support BDC’s mission of enabling a nation of dreamers and doers to build a better future for Canada.
As the Analyst, Partnerships, this individual will support the partnerships team by putting in place the right the governance and oversight mechanisms and the reporting data structures.
Responsibilities will be to lead governance and oversight initiatives that are aligned with partnerships priorities and the audit report. In addition, the senior analyst designs, produces and analyses performance reports on a monthly/quarterly basis regarding national and regional partnerships. He or she ensures that appropriate systems are in place to meet the requirements of the partnership procedures, including business plans and the annual review. The senior analyst also develops reports, communications and presentations as required.
BDC’s Partnerships team is responsible for oversight and program development for all facets of BDC’s partnerships. The Partnerships team works with all business and operational units across the organization to fulfill its mandate, ultimately with the goal of helping achieve BDC’s corporate objectives with partnerships geared towards the growth and resilience of Canadian businesses.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Maintain the partnership portfolio and ensures existing and future agreements are in compliance;- Monitor and produce metrics and performance of the overall partnerships portfolio.- Set-up an intelligence system to capture appropriate information to be collected on the partnership portfolio.-
- Put in place systems to have a 360 view of the partnerships portfolio.- Ensure compliance with Third party risk management (TPRM) and agreements management.- Provide management with various reports, information and statistics regarding performance activities with partners on a national and regional level and prepare operational metrics reports on a monthly/quarterly basis including the status of referrals from and to partners.- Develop appropriate systems and practices to meet the requirements of the partnership procedures.- Ensure partnership procedures are being implemented, including data collection on partnerships metrics, annual reviews and accurate partnership portfolio.- Provide research for the team regarding market intelligence in relation to partnerships as required.- Assist the team by developing and maintaining a high degree of knowledge of the CLICS system, SharePoint and related collaboration software.- Develop and maintain liaison with BDC personnel and/or external parties to ensure continuous dissemination and coordination of information.- Participate in the annual planning process by preparing estimates and breakdowns as required.- Develop reports, communications and presentations for the team regarding various topics as required by the department.- Organize and coordinate department events, including annual team meeting, conferences, lectures, agendas and budgets, in order to achieve team objectives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR-
- 5-7 years of pertinent experience- Strong project management skills- Strong sense of judgement- Highly organized and proactive and ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Excellent team player- Proficiency in CLICS, SharePoint and other IT tools used by BDC on a regular basis- Strong analytical skills- Attention to details in the production of written communications-
