**Key Responsibilities**:1. Cloud-Native Security Implementation**:
2. - Design, architect, review and implement security solutions targeted towards cloud native environments such as Google Cloud and AWS.
- Ensure robust cloud infrastructure security and compliance.

**3. Incident Response and Remediation**:
4. - Monitor security alerts and notifications.
- Conduct detailed investigations to discern false positives from genuine intrusion attempts.
- Implement immediate remediation strategies to address security incidents.
- Continuously improve incident response protocols and procedures such as remediation, reporting and disclosure.

**5. Managing Security Tooling in a startup environment**:
6. - Own and manage a suite of security tools such as SIEMs, EDRs, PAMs, MDMs and Google Workspace.
- Ensure and iterate on configuration and maintenance to ensure company wide security

**7. Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
8. - Collaborate with various teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
- Provide security insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**9. Continuous Learning and Adaptation**:
10. - Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Adapt and evolve security strategies to mitigate emerging risks.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in SecOps or DevSecOps roles, preferably in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated success managing IAM, SSH, AD or other authentication systems
- Demonstrable, working-level knowledge of at least one of: Terraform, Python, Golang.
- Experience in incident response and remediation, with a track record of effectively responding to and remediating security incidents.
- Proficiency in managing security tools for Apple devices (MDM, EDR).
- Familiarity with threat analysis (macOS a plus)
- Familiarity with program analysis tools, behavior (IDA/Ghidra/Hopper) and capabilities.
- Understanding of the threat landscape, tactics, techniques and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability analysis, exploitation a plus.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a VC-backed startup environment.
- Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
