**Cyber Security Specialist**
**Montreal, QC ( Hybrid Role )**
**Long Term Contract**

**Overview**

The Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for creating, demonstrating, and mentoring to ensure a secure computing environment that protects against unauthorized access modification or destruction. This role will be part of Hyland's Security Operations Center team.

**What You Will Be Doing**

Design, implement, and maintain more complex security solutions that protect or govern information needs of the organization using security tools and resolve most complex security issues Develop and implement incident response processes and maintain recovery procedures for systems; respond to and resolve most complex reported security incidents Present security updates and state of affairs assessments to executive teams Develop and design technical and operational security policies Perform most complex threat and vulnerability assessments to ensure systems are protected from known and potential threats; perform acquisition and vendor risk assessments Develop, implement, and maintain recovery procedures for systems and maintain ownership of all cyber security projects to completion Develop standards for internal documentation to ensure consistency with documentation for security systems and procedures; support team in establishing and enforcing most complex security standards Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends Contribute to security research, including innovating new ideas, researching related work, developing new concepts, and prototyping ideas Evaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchase Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of team Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy
