In this position your leadership and experience will set the bar for our team. You will be responsible for displaying a positive, team orientated attitude, a mature disposition where others want to follow you and a lead by example, and a safety conscious work ethic. This is a year-round position and as such, in the winter months, snow removal and pedestrian walkway maintenance will be part of your job.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate advanced carpentry skills that include rot repairs, vinyl deck installation and finishing carpentry techniques
- Ability to plan, organize and lead while delegating tasks to maximize the team & job efficiency
- Mentoring and training junior & intermediate staff. Report on positive & negative staff performance to management
- Understand each job requirements, meets the job time estimate and ensure the job is completed properly and the ability to identify & correct deficiencies
- Ensuring crew safety by adhering to all safety standards & requirements
- Assessing overall job progress and making recommendations to management
- Driving company vehicle to each job site with necessary tools for each job
- Always maintain a clean & safe job site

**To be considered, you should have the following**:

- Qualified carpenter with minimum 5 years' experience in carpentry trades
- A valid driver license in good standing and reliable transportation
- Proficient operating skills of all tools & equipment used in construction.
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices and responsibilities associated with it.
- Effective communicator with the ability to provide clear verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable and consistently punctual with an eye for detail and exceptional work ethic
- Provide your own personal safety gear including steel-toed footwear, eye protection, noise isolating earplugs, waterproof outer wear, and gloves.

Full time, year-round employment.

We work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, closed on statutory holidays.
Extended health benefits available after 6 months.
