**Mission**

Due to continuing growth, we have an immediate opening for a Construction Inspector working in the Greater Toronto Area. This position will provide the opportunity to join our innovative, supportive, and dynamic Buildings Engineering group. You will be working on a variety of Buildings projects including Commerical, Institutional, Ports, and Transit facilities.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Engineering site inspection construction projects for quality control and adherence with applicable provincial standards, engineering design and technical specifications
- Document construction site activities by keeping a detailed daily diary, taking photos, performing survey checks, and recording as-built conditions
- Identify and monitor deficiencies and provide problem resolution/field solutions with respect to unforeseen construction issues
- Attend and participate in construction progress meetings
- Review and comment on construction progress payment certificates, on-site quantities verification, and quotations
- Coordinate with Engineering for specialist inspections
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act on construction sites
- Liaise with clients, regulatory inspectors, various utility companies, and other stakeholders as required

**Profile**
- 4 years of related experience in structural/civil engineering construction
- P.Eng would be an asset.
- Positive attitude with superior interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator possessing demonstrated skills in dealing with staff, contractors, and stakeholders, in matters arising from construction projects
- MTO Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing and access to a personal vehicle
- Possess working knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) for Municipal projects
