Shepherds of Good Hope has received funding from Canada Summer Jobs to hire summer students for **8 weeks 35 hours per week** in our locations across the city**:Hope Living, the Oaks, 1095 Merivale Road and Transitional Shelter Services**
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 30 years old. These are **non-union positions** that will start May 12, 2025. The scheduled shifts will be a combination of days and evenings during weekdays and weekends.

**POSITION: Frontline Worker**
**PAY RATE**:23.48 Hourly
**POSTING DATE**: April 23, 2025

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Providing community building and educational opportunities to residents by working with the Program Manager to research, prepare, promote and facilitate group activities focused on community resources and access, leisure activities, life skills, healthy nutrition and food preparation, current events etc.
- Offering individual support as needed by assisting with daily living skills, referrals and follow-up, accompanying residents to events in the larger community, orientating new tenants as needed, and focusing on rebuilding social skills and reducing isolation.
- Assisting and participating in the collection of data and research as directed by the management
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Working Conditions**:
There is a combination of long periods of sitting, standing, and walking for this position. This role is mostly consumed with client engagement, which can mean meeting in private and confidential locations with clients on a one to one basis. Accuracy and timeliness are very important to this role to ensure that client needs are being met and reporting is complete. The case manager must also be comfortable utilizing critical thinking to make well rounded decisions in high pressure situations and prioritizing work based on competing deadlines.
