For more than 30 years, we have played a leading role in bringing communities together to address the many threats to the Salish Sea. With a recently renewed strategic plan in hand, with a greater focus on building community power and collaboration, environmental justice and increasing the connection individuals in this region have to this ecologically and culturally important body of water, we are looking for someone who is deeply committed to the vision laid out in GSA’s strategic plan and to our environmental justice journey.

**Compensation**: $60,000-$65,000

**Location**: Though most of the staff at GSA work from their home offices on the unceded territories of many Coast Salish Nations, the position can work in our office on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) people (known as Vancouver) or work remotely from a home office on the South Coast of BC. Note that organizational and program travel will be required at times.

**About the position**

GSA is hiring a Campaign Manager who will support the development and implementation of GSA’s campaigns, and work with GSA campaign leads to advance strategic priorities and to meet GSA’s mission. They will play a pivotal role in deepening our understanding and implementation of campaigns and programs rooted in environmental justice and that focus on addressing threats to the Salish Sea.

Responsibilities will include providing oversight, guidance and tactical support to campaign leads and community organizers; inspiring staff to think strategically and work collaboratively to achieve campaign goals and objectives; supporting and mentoring campaigners and organizers; maintaining and building relationships with campaign allies from a diversity of groups; keeping abreast of emerging issues and identifying opportunities to develop new GSA advocacy campaigns that support the organization’s strategic priorities; offering strategic campaign guidance to community groups working on issues that align with our mission and strategic priorities; leading campaigns, as opportunities arise and capacity allows; and, working as a member of the Management Team to ensure that campaign and operational goals are in alignment and supportive of each other.

This position works closely with campaign leads and community organizers, and reports directly to the Executive Director.

You will succeed in this role if you have a deep passion for protecting the Salish Sea, you thrive in the intense environment of developing and implementing new campaign strategies, while also supporting long-standing campaigns. You can pivot quickly when opportunities arise, are skilled at prioritizing, and enjoy supporting others in taking advantage of those opportunities in their campaigns. You enjoy sharing your campaign, organizing and communication experience with members of your team, and that knowledge is grounded in environmental justice. You would describe yourself as having energy, patience, empathy, creativity and flexibility - and can map out strategies and communicate them with ease to colleagues, allies and the public.

**Experience and Qualifications**
