**About the position**
Reporting to the Regional Supply Manager, the Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Customs Lead in many day-to-day activities to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer service experience to our internal and external customers. **Where you’ll work**:Montreal or Toronto
**What you’ll do**:
- Actively work with suppliers to maintain Univar’s CUSMA database and creation of CUSMA documentation
- Maintain Univar’s cross border list of approved products with the guidance of the Customs Lead
- Work with Univar’s customs broker for any requests or questions
- Be a secondary point of contact for the business for trade compliance related questions
- Support the Compliance Lead with day-to-day activities
- Be heavily involved with the creation of SOP’s for all compliance and cross border related matters
- Customs invoice requests (import, export, sample requests)
- Work with internal staff to ensure Univar delivers exceptional customer service
- Provide the purchasing team with guidance as needed
- Other duties as required
**What we would like from you**:
- College diploma or University degree in a related program and two (2) years’ experience in a related field is a bonus
- Ability to learn fast and willing to learn new skills as the department evolves
- Must have very strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, demonstrates initiative and possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Outlook)
- Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize and multitask
- Must located in Montreal or Toronto
- SAP knowledge will be an asset
