We are now seeking Human Resources Coordinator to support our growth and our desire to build a working environment that enhances employee engagement drives employee performance and achieves desired results. The position is located in Aldergrove, BC.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will play an essential role in supporting the Manager in the coordination and implementation of human resources initiatives, policies, and practices that maintain a work environment that drives employee engagement and retention ensures compliance with employment legislation, and helps to develop a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment of personnel; productivity and product quality; and compliance with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards. The position will also work closely with the HR Administrator, to maintain and ensure coordination of farm and compost administration practices, and the payroll & benefits department in dealing with employee payroll and benefits issues.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**

**HR Administration & Policy**
- Maintains Employee Personnel Files for all sites. Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
- Coordinate training sessions including policy briefings for employees.
- Administer the absence program.
- Develops, in consultation with the Human Resources manager, policies, procedures, and practices regarding HR policies and processes for the companies.
- Oversees the administration, implementation, and adherence to internal HR policies and practices

**Recruitment & Onboarding**
- Partners with managers to recruit employees suited to the Champs culture, who positively contribute to the work environment, and achieve desired results
- Perform orientation for all employees and update records of new staff by providing all information to payroll in a timely manner.

**Employee Relations & HR Services**
- Provides advice, guidance, and coaching to managers and staff on a variety of human resources issues including those related to company policy, performance issues, employment law, and grievance resolution.
- Acts as the internal consultant on matters relating to employment law, human resources practice, and company HR policies.

**Performance Management**
- Assist with performance management procedures for hourly reviews.

**Training & Development**
- Keep up to date with the latest HR Trends and best practices.
- Support other assigned functions.

To be considered for this position you **must** meet the following minimum requirements:

- Relevant human resources/labor relations diploma/certificate plus minimum 2 years related experience in human resources administration and/or coordination.
- Working towards or attainment of CHRP designation an asset
- Previous experience in a culturally diverse work environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of BC employment legislation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build trusting relationships.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, both one-on-one and in groups. Punjabi or Vietnamese Speaking is an asset.
- Fluency in Windows/MS Office is mandatory.
