**This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift /shovel loader for the unloading/loading of stock.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift/shovel loader and following safe work procedures
- Reporting safety hazards or production/quality issues immediately to the supervisor
- Operate forklift/shovel loader for unloading/loading building materials.
- Accurately count/report and maintain stock inventory levels
- Assist in the monitoring of customer delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Perform routine quality checks and complete quality checklist reporting and correcting any non-conformance
- Follow Company policies and procedures
- Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations.
- Assist in loading and offloading trucks
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualification & Requirements**:

- Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Valid forklift certification or equivalent knowledge and experience operating a forklift; willing to be trained as (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Able to work a weekly shift rotations
- Climbing up and down stairs
- Bending and standing with weight
- Have the ability to work independently without constant direct supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
