**Responsibilities**:
Works under the direction of Clinical Manager (CM) and oversees nursing care practices to residents in accordance with required medical care & established nursing care plans and practices, including assessment, data collection and tracking of mandatory programs and other incidents related to resident care and safety. Work collaboratively with other members of the team, provide support and coverage in each other’s absence/s. Supervise the activities on the unit/s and provides direction to the RPNs and direct care staff on the unit

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

A sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long term care nursing and personnel administration. Knowledge of the legislated requirements for long term care facilities in Ontario.

Attributes - Tactful manner, ability to communicate on an appropriate level with various levels of staff and families. Must be knowledgeable in nursing process, developments and trends in the geriatric care field and have the skill to assist in the planning, coordination and supervision of a comprehensive resident care program.

MANDATORY PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

1. Pre-employment health assessment.

2. Police vulnerable sector required prior to start.

3. Employment references required

4. Up to date on vaccinations and/or willing to be vaccinated

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
