**Bilingual Project Manager, Real Estate**

As a Bilingual Real Estate Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Real Estate & Facilities, you will coordinate all design, planning and engineering matters relating to a physical renovation or retrofit project, helping to ensure that it is delivered on time and within budget.
The Bilingual Project Manager will actively and effectively manage risks, issues and invoke project governance for escalation as required. The Project Manager will also provide regular project status reporting suitable for the audience. The Real Estate Project Manager will initiate work on a project from the concept stage, through design and planning and finally construction and post construction phases.
**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**:
- Collaborate with stakeholders in order to identify and agree project scope, requirements, schedule and costs;
- Clearly articulate deliverables in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Deliver multiple projects simultaneous while providing support to Pre-Construction and Design processes;
- Lead the permit design and general contracting or design build process (ie: specifications definition, tendering, contract negotiation, contract awarding, permit submission etc)
- Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluation, project development, conceptual & detailed engineering design and construction
- Support the Construction (Real Estate, Facilities, Design) functions in the evaluation of potential sites and the potential scope or work associated with converting existing buildings or new developments
- Manage design and construction manager/ contracts and sourcing of specialty suppliers
- Coordinate vendors and subtrades to ensure all project deadlines are met
- Prepare project summary recommendations for Senior Management approval based on established scopes
- Champion and mature project management practices. Act as an activist for continuous improvement.
**Here’s what you’ll need to be successful**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, interior design, space planning or project management in a variety of building types.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both English and French
- Experience with the coordination and execution of contracts and/or projects nationally.
- Familiar with corporate real estate transactions and the project implications
- Experience working in AutoCAD or related industry standard software
- PMP certification would be an asset
- Knowledge of commercial building practices and national and regional building code(s)
