_D. & A. MacLeod Company Ltd._is looking for a full-time Insolvency Administrative Assistant with preferably has some recent office or legal administration experience that would enjoy the challenge of a busy office environment. _D. & A. MacLeod Company Ltd. _is a bankruptcy and insolvency firm focusing on bankruptcies, both personal and corporate, as well as proposals to creditors. We are a small office of 10 staff. This position is available immediately and is an on-site, in-person postiion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work directly with the licensed insolvency trustee as an assistant;
- Schedule appointments and prepare documents for upcoming appointments;
- Accept and process cheques, bank drafts, money orders and cash from clients;
- Prepare documents related to bankruptcy and proposal filings;
- General file administration including filing, mailing, and preparing letters;
- Register documents with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy;
- Covering the reception desk from time to time;
- Other general duties as may be required.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, Adobe, with the ability to learn other software quickly as required;
- Experience with Ascend (insolvency database software program) is an asset;
- Completion of a high school diploma and a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in preferably office/business administration or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience;
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional client services and interacting in person and on the phone with external clients;
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills in the English language; however speaking French is an asset;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering quality results;
- Strong time-management and organizational abilities with an eye for detail;
- Willingness to learn and adapt to varying situations and requirements; and
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner with mínimal supervision.

**Salary Range**:
Salary commensurate with work experience
