**Job Type**: Full-time
**Salary**: $60,000 to $70,000 per year (based on experience)
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

**Position Overview**
Key Responsibilities
**1. Supervision and Team Management**
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the ground operations team to ensure daily operational goals are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and address performance issues as needed.
- Foster a results-driven and collaborative work environment.
**2. Customs Clearance and Compliance**
- Oversee the entire customs clearance process for e-commerce shipments, ensuring compliance with CBSA regulations.
- Monitor and manage customs documentation submissions (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, ACI filings) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Stay informed on changing trade regulations, tariffs, and classification requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Work proactively to resolve compliance issues and maintain adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
**3. Customer Communication and Issue Resolution**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status and customs clearance.
- Provide regular reports to customers on the status of their shipments, including any delays or issues.
- Address and resolve problematic shipments promptly while ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure all necessary documentation is provided to expedite shipment clearance.
**4. Process Optimization and Problem-Solving**
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of customs operations.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline documentation and submission processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify potential delays or compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to senior management with detailed analysis and proposed solutions.
**5. Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting**
- Liaise with brokers, carriers, and CBSA officials to expedite shipment clearance and resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed records of customs transactions, including entry numbers, payments, and correspondence.
- Prepare reports on customs activities, operational performance, and compliance audits.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in customs clearance, logistics, or ground operations, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience managing a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities for effective team and customer management.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and operational demands.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with automation systems for customs processing.
- Familiarity with international trade agreements and cross-border e-commerce operations.
**Work Environment**
- Office and warehouse settings, with occasional travel to customs and logistics facilities as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational demands, especially during peak periods.
