Position Details: Job Title: Ground Maintenance Supervisor Number of positions: 1 Job Type: Full time, permanent position with 40 hours per week. Compensation: $37 per hour. Overtime at the rate of 1.5 times after 8 hours per day/40 hours per week. Benefits: . WCB Coverage . 4% Vacation pay . Extended health and dental benefits are offered after 90-day probation period Key duties: . Work with Project Manager to estimate and understand the scope of work prior to project start-up. . Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of grounds maintenance and irrigation system workers. . Assign tasks, schedule work shifts, and monitor staff performance to ensure landscaping and maintenance standards are met. . Complete required documentation and maintain accurate on-site records. . Maintain quality control of all project elements by enforcing company standards and specifications daily. . Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of landscape irrigation systems. . Inspect landscaped areas regularly and provide recommendations for irrigation adjustments, plant health, and grounds improvements. . Address and resolve work-related and client concerns in a professional and timely manner. . Ensure safe and proper use of equipment, hand tools, and power tools, providing guidance to staff as needed. . Track supplies and materials and place orders as required to ensure all necessary tools and resources are available on-site. . Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to grounds maintenance staff to promote efficiency, safety, and skill development. Requirements: . Education: Completion of secondary school . Experience: Minimum of two years of related experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role within the field .
