Server/cashier

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic closing Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food orders and transactions. You will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and satisfying.

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus, explaining daily specials and answering any questions they may have.
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring that all requests are noted correctly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Process payments swiftly and accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with care.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to customers.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Valid Smart Serve is a must

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
