**What this role is all about**:
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing collaborative service excellence as the primary contact between internal business units and information technology stakeholders. Working and partnering on complex cross functional projects, the Business Analyst manages IT projects, performs comprehensive systems analysis to determine current and future business requirements and identify opportunities to contribute to an overall superior member experience.

**What you’ll do**:

- Project Management & Problem Solving_
- Provides leadership and full-cycle project management on key IT development and implementation projects in part by creating the project charter, developing and maintaining the project plan, managing stakeholders and managing project communications.
- Manages and prioritizes multiple organizational projects based on the team and the credit union’s strategic objectives to support a superior member experience.
- Collaborates and liaises with internal stakeholders and external consultants/vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Updates, reports and communicates project progress on a regular and timely basis to appropriate stakeholders.
- Partners with business units to initiate the problem solving process by using root cause analysis and other problem solving techniques, and by proactively developing alternatives or potential solutions.
- Collaboration_
- Partners with internal departments to gain understanding of processes, policies and procedures.
- Elicits internal customers’ business requirements through analysis, research, documentation and portfolio management.
- Leadership_
- Provides thought leadership and innovation in IT strategic planning; maintains alignment in projects and initiatives with the department’s and G&F’s overall strategic objectives.
- Provides guidance, coaching and direction as appropriate to other members of department and project teams.
- Educates and trains business users to implement best practices and leverage technology.
- Proactively seeks opportunities for process improvements to increase overall efficiencies
- Communications & Liaisons_
- Acts as liaison between G&F and third party vendors for RFPs, development requests, and the implementation of solutions.
- Maintains positive relationships with internal and external contacts and stakeholders.

**A little about your qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in business, information technology or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of the project management life cycle
- Prior experience in the financial services industry is an asset
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) designation is an asset.
- Certification or familiarity with Lean methodology is an asset
- Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
