**TeraSpan Networks Inc** is a full-service telecommunications contractor with locations throughout British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a **OUTSIDE PLANT CABLE REPAIR and INSTALLATION TECH** to join our Burnaby based team.
At TeraSpan, you will be a key member of our network deployment and maintenance team and you have opportunities for training in all facets of telecommunications network construction and maintenance. **The primary responsibilities of the Burnaby team are as follows**:
- Telecommunications network installation - both traditional installation methods and micro-trenching
- OSP network maintenance and repair - maintenance and repair of our existing dark fiber network in Vancouver.
**We prefer to hire technicians with the following experience but we are willing to train if you have a strong desire to learn**:
- fiber optic splicing and testing experience
- telecommunications network construction experience
- cable repair and maintenance experience
**Minimum required qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Clean class 5 drivers license
- Ability to lift 60lbs
- Aptitude for working with small tools and equipment
- Ability to travel for out-of-town projects as required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- telecommunications: 1 year (preferred)
