Classification and Salary:
**Maintenance Service Worker 1 (MSW1)** - Park Maintenance Worker 1:
$20.14 - $24.22 per hour
**Maintenance Service Worker 2 (MSW2)** - Park Maintenance Worker 2:
$23.38 - $28.34 per hour
**Maintenance Service Worker 3 (MSW3)** - Park Maintenance Crew Lead:
$24.68 - $30.16 per hour

In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:

- 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
- 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:

- $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
- $2.75 per hour for evenings

**Role Responsibilities**:

- If you enjoy working outside and are committed to improving a visitor’s experience when they visit a provincial park by maintaining facilities and campgrounds, come join our Maintenance Team at one of the following Alberta Provincial Parks and Protected Area locations within the Southwest Area in the Pincher Creek/Castle and Lethbridge Districts:

- Beauvais Lake Provincial Park
- Park Lake Provincial Park

We are looking for highly motivated, well-organized, responsible Maintenance Workers for the 2025 summer season. Individuals will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance and operational duties that support the day-to-day operation of campgrounds, day use areas, facilities and trail systems.

**We are currently looking to hire**:

- 2 Park Maintenance Worker 3’s
- 1 Park Maintenance Worker 2
- 10 Park Maintenance Worker 1’s

**As a Park Maintenance Worker (MSW1), duties and responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Performing landscaping, building cleaning and site servicing of campgrounds, day use areas and facilities.
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment.
- Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, ATVs, etc.
- Assisting with trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance.
- Installing and maintaining signage.
- Reporting all maintenance concerns accordingly.
- Assists with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs.
- Being familiar with and practicing all pertinent occupational health & safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols; and with the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols.
- Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses.

**As a Park Maintenance Worker (MSW 2), primary duties are to assist Parks Maintenance Supervisor at manual functions, and being accountable for direct sites equipment operations including**;
- Assisting with formal and informal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Operating heavy equipment such as sewer truck, loaders, skid steers, garbage trucks, etc.
- Completing trail maintenance projects.
- Maintaining roads and parking lot areas.
- Assisting with routine playground inspections and maintenance.
- Install and remove docks, maintains beaches.
- Operating chainsaws, brush saws and other higher risk equipment.
- Landscaping and Facility Maintenance as required per work location

**As the Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3), primary duties include assisting MSW1 Workers with the duties mentioned above in addition to administrative and supervisory tasks such as**:

- Onsite lead for a crew of MSW staff. Accountable for direct site operations, and for leading the task scheduling for other staff.
- Assists with formal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Assists with playground routine inspections and maintenance.
- Assists with docks installation and removals, maintains beaches
- Conducts purchasing and orders supply inventory within budget.
- Assists with staff training and staff performance reviews.
- Assists with service contract management.
