Production Planner

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a** Production Planner**to join our team in **Stratford, ON.**The Production Planner is responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed production plan.

**Essential functions**:

- Must possess thorough and relevant Plant knowledge
- Position requires regular exercise of decision making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required
- Responsible for scheduling of all products
- Reviews and analysis of sales forecast with Manufacturing support manager regarding shop load planning
- Releases production orders/picklists to manufacturing
- Coordinates review of Materials Lists for completeness, material availability, and resolves all shortages with Buyers and/or Production Expediter
- Position requires routine walking as part of normal job duties
- Position requires the ability to work in a normal office and production plant with welding, machining, and fabrication operations environments

**Other Duties**:As may be assigned by the reporting Supervisor/Manager

Internal Contacts: Regular (16-35%)

Make contacts that involve controversy where practices and procedures and/or methods do not provide precise direction as to desired outcomes.

External Contacts: Moderate (6-15%)

Make contacts that sometimes involve controversy where established methods or procedures require interpretation.

**Basic Requirements**:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 0 to 2 years production control expediting or related field. MRP experience required. IFS experience preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office.

**Physical Skill & Effort**:Work requires moderate speed and accuracy operating office equipment and computer system. Work requires simple, easy muscular movements.

**Working Conditions and Hazards**:Normal plant, shop, field and/or office conditions. From time to time, some plant, shop, will occur and may offer slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
