**Overview**: Impressions Group Ottawa Inc., established in 2003, has grown to become the leader in the industry of Residential swimming pool and landscape installer in the region. We specialize in the construction of inground vinyl liner and fiberglass pools, decorative concrete work, and a variety of outdoor projects, including excavation, site prep, and septic installations. The Construction Operations Manager is a critical operational and strategic position that will oversee our construction teams, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining our reputation for excellence. During the operational season, the manager will lead teams working 50-60 hours per week. In the off-season, the role includes remote strategic planning and recruitment duties, allowing flexibility for personal travel.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership and Development:

- Accountable for the motivation, culture and high performance of the entire division. This role will Recruit, hire, onboard, and lead (with the support of Foremen and Supervisors) the entire operations team.
- Influence and foster a positive work environment by coaching for improvement and addressing performance issues and building succession strategies for the growth and development of our high potential players.
- Organize and oversee training programs to develop team skills.
- Coach, train and hold foremen accountable for high performance in all aspects of operational performance.
- Ensure a culture of safety amongst the entire team.

Operational Management:

- Required to visit construction projects daily to ensure the construction teams are preforming and meeting their objectives
- Work closely with the Install Coordinator to schedule teams, align orders, and adjust plans as necessary based on weather or product availability. I think you need to indicate that the install coordinator will report to and be accountable to the operations manager.
- Facilitate communication between sales, project managers, foremen, customers, suppliers, other stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure clarity and execution of all project deliverables.
- Approve expenses, payroll hours, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor and enforce payment schedules, ensuring work aligns with milestone payments.
- Conduct weekly pipeline meetings to review progress, forecast work, and establish future goals and milestones.

Adaptability and Problem Solving:

- Develop contingency plans to address interruptions, such as weather changes or supply delays.
- Ensure rapid communication of schedule changes to all relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration:

- Work with the Property Maintenance Operations Manager to coordinate fleet and tool maintenance. This is too specific I thinkworking with all other operational leaders to manage and coordinate all aspects of the operation.
- Ensure all company property and assets are well cared for and effectively managed.
- Work with ownership to improve the business, develop new processes, look for ways to drive improved performance and efficiency, and improve margins.

Qualifications:

- Proven management experience in the construction or landscaping industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a coaching approach to team development.
- Detail-oriented yet adaptable to changing conditions.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct difficult conversations and hold team members accountable for high performance.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and financial oversight processes.
- Ability to work early mornings (5:30 AM start) and respond to after-hours communications as needed.
- Ability to lead a team with passion and inspire High Performance. Lead every day as if this was your own business

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of landscaping, pool construction, or similar industries.
- Experience with seasonal workforce management.
- Proficiency in creating and leading training programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Competitive seasonal salary: $85,000 to $115,000 depending on experience.
