As part of Detection and Measurement, Radiodetection is a global leader in the design and development of equipment and software used by utility companies to install, protect, and maintain underground infrastructure networks. Through precision and magnetic locators and ground penetrating radar, we help prevent damage to infrastructure utilities and protect lives.

Production Team Lead is responsible for the production, shipping, and procurement planning of all Sensors & Software GPR products. They work with sales and Operations to generate production plans which meet customer demand and efficiency targets. They ensure that products are shipped in a timely manner with a minimum level of error. The plant Planner tracks daily finished goods inventory levels and provides feedback to the purchaser as material needs develop. The plant Planner also provides close, day-to-day oversight to the production, purchasing, and shipping departments and ensures that key roles are filled each business day. Working with the Engineering Manager and Operations, the plant Planner contributes to longer term production plans, environmental and health and safety efforts, and quality management. The plant Planner also provides feedback on design related manufacturability, coordinates work related to the upkeep of the facility as well as manufacturing equipment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the production, Procurement, and shipping departments.
- Supervise, develop goals and work toward optimum inventory levels of finished goods and materials used in production.
- Ensure that orders from sales are received and filled. Confirm daily shipments and forward them for invoicing.
- Develop production plans to meet quantity goals.
- Responsible for the creation and closing of Production work orders.
- Participate in efforts to monitor and improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that Sensors & Software production department meets all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
- Maintain production equipment and the facility to meet the needs of the business.
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products.
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
- Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
- Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
- Responsible for hourly timesheet processing
- Evaluating Finished goods and reporting ship dates to the customer service team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of the basic principles of GPR’s.
- Knowledge of Sensors & Software inventory management and production workflow processes.
- Knowledge of production processes employed by Sensors & Software
- Basic principles of quality management, especially inspection and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other EHS program requirements.
- Ability to develop and coach production employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field, or 5 years of experience in production management, production planning, quality management, or materials management.
- Experience supervising and leading employees.
- Oral and written communication skills.
