**Job Summary**:
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Embrace Home Health Care is a crucial frontline position, acting as a representative of our company and delivering a wide range of services to our clients. The PSW will work independently, making sound judgments while adhering to company policies. Emphasis is placed on involving clients in their care programs to ensure they maintain basic standards of healthy living.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Companionship**: Engage clients with activities that promote mental stimulation, independence, and a sense of self-esteem. Activities may include playing games, reading, walking, and socializing.
- **Housekeeping, Laundry, and Pet Care**: Perform household duties such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, cleaning, and caring for pets.
- **Personal Care**: Assist clients with grooming, bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, and eating. Monitor vital signs and remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
- **Kitchen Work**: Manage grocery shopping, meal preparation, cooking, baking, and kitchen cleanup.
- **Transportation and Escort**: Provide transportation and escort services for clients to appointments and errands, with proper authorization.

**Qualifications**:

- Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent.
- Experience working with seniors.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Vulnerable Sector police check.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
- Physical and mental fitness for caregiving demands.
- Passion for providing excellent care.
- Enthusiasm for promoting and maintaining health.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, respectfulness, and reliability.

**Work Hours**:
This position may require various shifts, including nights, weekends, and sleep-over shifts at one or more work sites.

**General Notes**:

- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your clients.
- Be prepared to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- The scope of duties may change as required by the company.
