Saddlebrook Management Consultants Inc. (SMC) is an industry leading professional construction manager affiliated with one of Canada’s largest residential developers (Pemberton Group). SMC has thirty years of experience in the GTA, planning, designing, constructing, and delivering high-rise residential projects and is currently overseeing the completion of over six thousand residential units.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen our team, broaden our industry footprint and create long term sustainable projects we’re currently planning numerous large mixed-use projects including the development of the former Christie Cookie site at 2150 Lakeshore Blvd.

With a staff of over a hundred seasoned employees, our extensive knowledge of cost and design allows us to construct economically viable projects of the highest quality and standards and our employees pride themselves on their ability to bring the project in on time and on budget.

We currently have an opening for a hardworking, multi-tasking, analytical and detail-oriented individual with a positive and professional attitude to join our team as a full-time **Estimator**.

**The key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to**:

- Prepare detailed scopes of work for different contracts, based on drawings and specifications and verify that quantity take offs provided by the Vendor are accurate
- Analyze contractor bids and requirements and follow up as required to ensure Vendor submissions encompass the Company scope of work and contractual elements
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive bid analysis worksheets facilitating Executive approval of Vendors
- Assist in project planning and scheduling using MS Project (Gantt Chart) and other projects as required
- Track the individual suite changes and issue purchase orders to trade and consultants accordingly

**This position requires**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Estimating and Contracts Administration (high-rise construction)
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and building materials
- Computer literacy with experience in MS Project, Excel and any estimating software such as BlueBeam or PlanSwift
- Ability to do numerical analysis
- Must be able to work both independently with mínimal supervision and as an integral part of a team
- Methodical; ability to plan and organize with good attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
