What you'll need to have
- You are passionate about food and people, motivated to drive innovative ideas and help our customers feel that there is always something new to explore and that time in the store is well spent.
- You work creatively within strong frameworks and can manage multiple competing priorities/deadlines while delivering strong business results through people.
- You have at least 5 years’ experience of successful commercial, retail management or the role of multi-unit food service manager with proven leadership abilities and strong track-record of managing managers, including management competence.
- You are a tactical thinker with experience of creating and implementing action plans, setting budgets, meeting and following up on goals.
- You communicate well with others and can influence and cooperate with different functions and delegate when necessary.
- You can fully see how IKEA Food contributes to increasing the overall performance and are willing to lead change and make things happen while maintaining effective leadership behavior in the face of setbacks or pressure.
- You are a role model of our values and an active player in creating an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where the diversity of our customers and co-workers is valued and embraced.

**A day in your life with us**
- Ensure that IKEA quality & food safety requirements and local compliance standards are met and promote a safety-first culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of the unit yearly action plan and to the overall business success of the store as a member of the steering group.
- Build a lean, diverse and high performing team and mentor successors to meet succession and IKEA business needs.
- Implement best practises for more efficient handling of goods, orders and inventory and work with your team to take actions that contribute to sustainability.
- Challenge costs by working in a lean, simple and cost-conscious way using and sharing good examples and encouraging fellow coworkers to discover smarter ways of working.
- Secure that the store is always in shape as new in terms of conceptual and commercial standards and with the necessary capacity for growth.
- Create awareness of IKEA Food as the most important in-store marketing tool to maximize the IKEA store’s sales potential.
- Maintain a simple and straightforward internal communication and information flow and ensure that key information is understood by all co-workers.
- Take an active part in creating the store business plan, food action plan and the range matrix to develop a strong IKEA Food range identity that sets the IKEA store apart.
- Always look through the eyes of our customers, get continuous feedback on their experiences and learn more about their needs and wants to ensure that we always host our guests and make them feel welcome throughout the day.
