**Who are we?**

**Scotland Yard is the quintessential neighbourhood pub. Our aim is to be the best all round pub in the city of Toronto. We are a high standards business focused on high quality food and beverage. We continue to evolve with the times constantly improving our menu offerings and our level of service.**

**Situated on The Esplanade in the St. Lawrence Market neigbourhood of the city, we have been an important fixture of the community since the 1970’s. Independently owned and operated we take pride in our inclusive and welcome atmosphere hosting a broad cross section of the community both as patrons and employees. Only a few minutes walk to the largest and busiest event facilities in the city (Scotiabank Arena, Meridian Hall) and the largest transit hub in the country (Union Station). We experience times of very high volume balanced off with our regular weekend soccer crowd, who love our laid back and cozy atmosphere.**

**What’s the job?**

Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Our guests arrive happy and it is your job to help them leave the same way. Quick and invisibly present service, professional communication and appearance and the ability to balance working hard and having fun while engaged with our guests. We are in the hospitality business and that is the job; to be hospitable.

**What will I be doing?**
- Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
- Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed
- Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
- Enter all transactions through the POS system correctly and timely
- Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
- Clean tables, complete closing/opening duties and restock supplies
