**Job Summary**
The Fleet and Yard Manager will oversee the organization of our shop and yards, ensuring that Wild Ridge staff have the tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary for efficient and productive operations. This role involves managing owned and leased equipment, trailers, and vehicles across all divisions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage all aspects of company-owned and leased vehicles, equipment, and trailers.
- Monitor vehicles and equipment for required maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee preparedness, cleanliness, and care of fleet vehicles.
- Schedule timely service and ensure preventative maintenance is completed.
- Train staff on vehicle and equipment requirements and responsibilities.
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance service on small engine equipment.
- Diagnose and provide direction for solving technical issues on small engine equipment.
- Provide recommendations for projected cost-saving measures.
- Create and maintain a fleet management plan, including lease terms, equipment and vehicle rotation, and years of service.
- Review and approve vendor purchase orders for repairs and maintenance services.
- Assist in managing the rental of tools, vehicles, and other necessary rentals.
- Facilitate repair of field equipment to minimize downtime, and support operations managers by providing access to after-hours support services, especially during winter operations.
- Provide direction and support to ensure CVOR compliance.
- Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the yard and shop areas.
- Ensure proper storage and inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Implement and maintain yard and shop safety protocols.
- Coordinate waste disposal and recycling efforts.
- Maintain upkeep of the shop and yard area.
- Order and organize necessary consumables.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in repair, maintenance, and management of vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Team player attitude.
- Class G License.
