Property Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Community Manager in all areas. They will generally be responsible to troubleshoot and repair all areas of the property and its units; plumbing, electrical. heating/cooling appliances, painting drywall and renovating suites. Work may be performed independently or as part of the maintenance team, while simultaneously upholding all company policies, goals, and values.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician will perform, but not be limited to, the following position duties
**Maintenance Duties**:
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, drywall repairs and mechanical duties
- Maintain boiler room/ Mechanical room
- May need to assist in snow removal
- Assist in obtaining quotations from trades
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of trades working on site
- Oversee proper operation of mechanical systems
- May perform other building tasks as needed
- Assist at others on the property if needed.
- Will inventory and maintain operational supplies on site.
The Maintenance Technician will have the skills to perform the maintenance duties as required for the position. The Maintenance Technician will provide a current police clearance certificate immediately and when requested thereafter.
The Maintenance Technician will work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. There will be situations where evening and weekend work is required in an emergency, etc. The Maintenance Technician will need to be able to lift to 50 pounds and be physically capable to carry out the duties of this position.
**Salary**: $30.00 per hour

- Richmond, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
