IT Specialist
Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that.
Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money'.
We’re looking for a capable IT specialist to join us on a
**part-time basis for two days a week**. This role is ideal for a technical individual who loves making high-impact decisions daily and wants to help our Relay team be successful on a day to day basis.
As part of the Security Team, you will support our information technology operations. You will have immediate impact on our ways of working. You will help Relay be more secure and faster, in daily operations.
This is an on-site role at our office in downtown Toronto. We support in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We provide lunch for our team on those days and create fun in office experiences with events and team meetings that this role will be a crucial part of delivering.
**Some of the things we will have your focus on right away.**:
- Take ownership of our device management system (Mosyle): roll out new policies and maintain compliance.
- Migrate third-party service providers to Google SSO
- Define and support IT and security best practices in Google Workspaces and AWS
- Provide IT and procurement support to the organization.
- Be an advocate for all things IT and Security at Relay._ Tell us how you would reduce shadow IT_
- Have experience implementing IT changes
- We are looking for builders: incremental changes or major initiatives
- Automation driven. Think small teams, high impact: tell us how to leverage systems to accelerate our velocity
- Show ownership; you will be responsible for core systems upon which the organization depends
- You're curious; the IT and security landscape isn’t static, neither are you
- A team player - our team is small and mighty, and we collaborate constantly - we want someone who is always willing to pitch in and isn’t afraid to ask for help
**What’s important to us**:
At Relay, we believe that diversity is key to building high-performing teams, and creating an inclusive work environment is our priority. We are an equal opportunity employer and we welcome people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
