**MANDATE**:
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Delivers a highly available and stable messaging services environment Participates in assigned projects following effective requirements, design, development and implementation processes Analyzes and resolves complex performance problems and outages to software products and systems support, escalating to and working with vendors as required Analyzes and successfully resolves problems and outages to software products Works with Messaging Engineering to provide operational requirements that result in a highly supportable production delivery of new technologies or production changes Provides Day-2 support for all project-related implementations Performs pro-active problem management to identify and resolve potential client-impacting issues in the production environment Is responsible for Incident & Problem Management, along with Root Cause Analysis Establishes strategic contacts with individuals, who can be beneficial to the achievement of work goals Performs daily monitoring of the environment to proactively and reactively address incidents in the production environment Contributes to departmental reporting obligations including capacity, usage, performance, and trend reporting, as defined with department management Identifies and delivers improvements to the departmental reporting obligations Performs routine, proactive maintenance and administration Participates in Disaster Recovery drills and ensures lessons learned are incorporated into plans for future drills or responses to real events Is a positive contributor to the team and uses solid interpersonal skills while interacting with co-workers Identifies and escalates any potential bottlenecks that might present a threat to system security or user services Contributes to BMO Financial Group's overall business results by making recommendations that significantly improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Possesses solid communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrates solid problem solving and analytical skills Displays high attention to problem description, detail, and impact Is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-service oriented. Maintains a sound understanding of emerging technologies, tools and scripting languages.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
The working environment provides mínimal exposure to discomfort or safety. Team members are required to work overtime and/or be on call as dictated by the business.
