**Backhoe Operator**

**Primary Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Reporting to Site Superintendent / Supervisor
- Pre-Operational Equipment Inspections using safety software.
- Safe operation of equipment and comply with site specific safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of employees
- Proficient loader backhoe operating skills
- Carefully excavating near/around underground obstructions and utilities

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operating experience, ideally in sewer and water industry
- Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License

**Preferred Qualifications/Assets**:

- Experience working in sewer and water preferred
- Experience working near utilities and confined job sites with limited visibility
- Experience working with a variety of different makes and models
- Snow clearing experience preferred

**Ability to**:

- Work in all weather conditions and various locations
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, and lift 50 lbs.

**Wage**
- $30-$36/hour based on experience with plenty of opportunity for overtime

**Salary**: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:
