**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Machine Operator, Reach Truck Driver**is responsible for putting away pallets in an efficient and accurately way. Recording transactions in the inventory system following the SOP. Responsible for driving power equipment following all safety requirements. This is a warehouse position requiring frequent physical labor, not an office position. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

**COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE**

$21.63 hourly

Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Seasonal

**WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

  • Show up on time every day, ready to work with a positive attitude
  • Operate material handling equipment needed to perform primary role. I.e. Order Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser (cart) and Pallet Jack.
  • Use a scanner and the tablet to perform the job
  • Receive goods based on supplies packing list
  • Put away bundles in the appropriate warehouse location
  • Record inventory transactions in handheld scanners
  • Safely operate the warehouse equipment required
  • Follow directions of supervisors and managers
  • Perform other activities as assigned
  • Follow directions of supervisors and managers
  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

  • Reach truck experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery
  • Must be comfortable using electronic devices
  • Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information
  • Must be flexible with start and departure time changing
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**

Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.

  • The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
  • The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
