Roto Molding Machine Operator

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking a Roto Molding Machine Operator for the AM shift on a full-time temporary/ contract basis (until July) to join the Vaughan location/team. The Roto Molding Machine Operator reports to the Lead Hand, Plastic department.

Pay
- $21 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- Hands on safe operation of equipment following standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure the productivity and quality of production
- Provide routine maintenance to equipment, assists in trouble shooting and continuous improvement and reports equipment and tooling conditions, operating and maintenance recommendations to ensure safe and efficient operating state
- Communicate with teams and internal departments to ensure production and inventory levels are accurate and advise of any issues that may impact quality, timing or safety
- Opens and completes work orders, documents production, and performs quality inspections.
- Be proficient at operating equipment and meeting targets set by company.
- Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Maintain tools and supplies in good working order.
- Utilizing 4lb impact gun and overhead crane to open and close molds.
- Maintaining ongoing production among all Roto Molding machines, material mixing machine and the Pulverizer simultaneously.
- Meets or exceeds cycle times per work orders.
- Maintain work area in a clean state and free from obstructions (6S).
- Troubleshoot production issues pertaining to Mold Set-ups.
- Report non-conformance of all production to Lead Hand.
- Cross Training in material handling and part packaging as required.
- Understanding and operating company’s scanning wedge program.
- Perform daily maintenance check sheet and set up sheets.
- Perform best practice during mold set up and change over.
- Ensure product identification, traceability, process control, packaging instructions are followed
- Possess a basic understanding of equipment operation.
- Ensure the Company’s quality policies and procedures are adhered to
- Perform quality inspections and meet standards.
- Maintain all measuring equipment, inspection fixtures and visual aids.
- Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Strive for Zero-time lost accidents.
- Adhere to all company safety SOP and equipment safety features.
- Participate in training as required by company or Lead Hand
- Other assigned duties

**Requirements**:

- 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Roto Molding considered or (Asset)
- 2 years of experience using hand or power tools (Asset)
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
- Able to run profile according to specs and costing
- Ability to accurately inspect tooling using applicable tools and measuring devices
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively while following lockout procedures
- Solid understanding of safety standards and best practices
- Possess basic understanding of equipment operation, packaging and press machines
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and Basic math skills
- Eagar to work, reliable, dependable, team player, safety mindset and prioritizing to meet deadlines and can work efficiently under pressure
