**Key Responsibilities**
As a full-cycle bookkeeper, you’ll oversee the clinic’s financial operations, maintaining accurate and compliant financial records while contributing to our commitment to excellence. Your responsibilities include:
- **Accounts Payable & Receivable**: Process invoices, payments, and collections to ensure accurate records of amounts owed and received.
- **Banking & Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements, manage deposits, and monitor cash flow.
- **Payroll Processing**: Accurately calculate and process employee payroll, including tax and deduction management.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**: Record all financial transactions in the general ledger with strict adherence to accounting principles.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and deliver financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- **Tax Preparation & Compliance**: Assist with the preparation and timely filing of taxes at federal, state, and local levels.
- **Internal Controls & Audits**: Maintain and strengthen internal controls while performing audits to safeguard financial data.
- **Software Management**: Utilize QuickBooks accounting platforms to manage financial records efficiently.
**Additional Patient Revenue Support**
Given the nature of Newleaf Total Wellness Centre’s unique setting, your role may also include patient revenue-related tasks, such as:
- Generating and sending out invoices for services rendered.
- Following up on outstanding balances and setting up payment plans where needed.
- Reconciling accounts receivable and providing cash flow reports.
**Qualifications & Skills**
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional who can confidently manage various accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy at every step.
**Required Qualifications**
- Proficiency in payroll processing and understanding of payroll regulations.
- Certificate or diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of pertinent experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in financial record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with colleagues and patients.
- Strong skills in account analysis and reconciliation techniques.
- Knowledgeable in accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**
- Experience doing the books for healthcare providers or in a multidisciplinary setting with contractors.
- Advanced skills in accounting tools or financial software.
- Experience providing financial insights or analysis.
- Problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Multilingual abilities, particularly for servicing Abbotsford’s diverse community.
