Meaty Eats is a specialty retailer focusing on Fresh Organic Meats and Charcuterie as well as in house Prepared Foods. We operate two locations in the GTA focusing on quality goods, curated product selection and customer experience.

As the owner of the company's retail meat operations, reporting to the Retail Operations Manager or similar, the Retail Meat Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and delivering our retail meat operations across our two locations as well as our e-commerce web store.

The Meat Manager’s responsibilities will include implementing the in-store and online meat programs as well as all aspects of retail meat operations such as scheduling, recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, inventory management, maintenance, and interfacing with clientele daily.
- Have experience as a butcher in a retail environment
- Have experience leading a team in a retail food or food service environment
- Plan/follow budgets and implement sales strategy while monitoring expenses (shrink)
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills in a culturally diverse work environment
- Demonstrate tact, judgment and professionalism in all work functions
- Be adaptable, open to change, and team oriented
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Possess a safe food handling certification and butchery certifications or other similar
- Possess WHMIS certification and training
- Possess Health and Safety certifications and training relevant to a retail environment JHSC etc.
