**Overview of Mobile Escape**

Calgary-based startup, Escape Mail, spent its early years serving students across Alberta with various school programs in the form of Mobile Escape. If you live in Alberta, you very well may have seen our large, Mobile Units rolling down the street or parked at an event. We served well over 100,000 guests with dozens of escape room games that we’ve designed, built and managed. Due to COVID, we launched a new product called Escape Mail. It's a play-at-home interactive puzzle adventure. Now, the original side of the business has been sold and we are focusing all our efforts on Escape Mail. We need help managing inventory: from accurate counts to careful assembly to effective distribution of this product for customers around the world. We are looking for someone to become a crucial part of an exciting team that makes puzzles and games. We are looking for someone with an unshakeable attention to detail, and a can-do attitude to keep things in order in our home office and help us to continue to #awakenwonder through the games we make.

**About the Role**

Escape Mail is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable student to join our team for the summer As our Inventory & Fulfillment Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping us keep operations running smoothly. You’ll manage and monitor inventory, assemble our escape-room-style puzzle games, and fulfill daily ecommerce orders across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys organized, independent work and wants to see how a small Canadian game publisher runs behind the scenes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Become familiar with all our games and all the parts in each game
- Assemble Escape Mail games using provided materials
- Also includes packaging according to various specifications
- Track inventory levels of unfinished goods and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low
- Maintain and update our internal inventory management systems
- Fulfill and ship daily ecommerce orders (Involves tasks such as labelling, sealing, weighing, organizing, etc.)
- Provide reports and predictions on inventory trends and future needs
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all order fulfillment and assembly tasks
- Logically and efficiently organizing various materials such as boxes, tape, paper, etc.
- Tracking office supplies and issuing re-orders so that we don't run out.
- Disposing of items that are no longer necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Must be currently registered in a post-secondary institution
- Basic English language skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Integrity (honest, working hard when no one is looking)
- Adept problem solving and troubleshooting

**Schedule & Work Environment**:

- 20-30 hours per week
- Most hours must be worked in-person at our Calgary headquarters during standard business hours
- Some tasks may be completed remotely outside of business hours

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
