**Position Overview**

The Community Services Summer Student will support the Community Services Supervisor in the Long-Term Care Division.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Administration and Community Services:

- Data entry
- Critically evaluate and work within the current volunteer database
- Mentor new volunteers
- Event planning
- Assist with community presentations and events
- Assist with the Lambton County Connects Program
- Assist in the Adult Day Programs

General:

- Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
- Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Formal Education
- Currently enrolled in the Social Services field, Recreation Therapy or other related field at a recognized university or college.

Experience
- The ability to work both independently and with a small team are required.
