**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teach art classes to children after school hours, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
- Utilize provided lesson plans while also allowing for personal creativity and input.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and enhance the learning experience for students.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with children is required.
- An art background or relevant education is preferred.
- Flexibility to commute between different schools in Surrey.

**Duties**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Guide students in exploring various art techniques, mediums, and styles
- Foster creativity and self-expression among students of different age groups
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth
- Organize and supervise art projects, exhibitions, or displays within the classroom or school community
- Support classroom management and maintain a safe, inclusive environment
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons when appropriate
- Assist with classroom activities such as tutoring or extra help sessions as needed
- Promote positive behavior and encourage student participation in art activities

**Skills**
- Proven experience with teaching or tutoring children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and classroom management strategies
- Experience working with children of various ages, especially in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with colleagues
- Ability to inspire creativity and foster a supportive learning environment
- Basic cooking skills are considered a nice-to-have for integrating arts into broader educational activities
- Prior classroom experience is highly desirable to ensure effective lesson delivery and student engagement

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 10 per week
