**Job Specific Information**:
Should this temporary vacancy be filled by a regular full-time employee, seniority and benefits will continue in the normal manner and the regular employee will continue to maintain normal, full-time status for the duration of the appointment.

**Job Description**:
***:Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, performs duties relating to customer service, accounting, records maintenance, and clerical/reception duties.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responds to telephone and counter inquiries; provides initial screening, opens complaint files and refers to appropriate Divisional staff for action when necessary.
- Distributes Transit passes, receives and documents cash and cheques, and invoices community agencies when necessary.
- Prepares purchase requisitions, field purchase orders, and vendor and customer invoices.
- Maintains records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Participates in the control of pass inventory and distribution, and monies received from both agencies and over the counter.
- Performs customer service activities with Lift customers, assists with specialized transit trip requests and changes.
- Prepares and maintains charter work billings and records.
- Receives, date stamps and distributes mail; distributes Transit Division pay statements.
- Maintains inventory of stationary stock supplies, printing requirements and office supplies for the Transit Division.
- Balances cash and prepares bank deposit of all monies received.
- Maintains the daily Revenue Ridership Program.
- Compiles and maintains data relating to revenues, pass sales, and ridership.
- Performs records management activities and manual and computerized filing; transfers and retrieves records from Archives, as required.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Secondary school graduation, including courses in bookkeeping; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be at an intermediate level in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Must be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
