As a Service Technician - High Technology at Patterson Dental, you will have to perform repairs, installations and maintenance of digital radiology, CAD/CAM and computer equipment on the road or at the office. You will also troubleshoot software problems on Windows-based PCs in dental clinics.
**Major Duties**:
- Independently respond to customer calls assigned to him, determine the nature of the problem for a particular module or component.
- Determine the parts, supplies and tools needed to complete the service request.
- Communicate any unusual problems to the technical service coordinator following each call.
- Ensure that the standard response time established with the service coordinator is respected.
- Load, deliver, install, configure and train customers on the basic use and maintenance of the equipment sold.
- Use, maintain and secure test equipment and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.
- Complete all required documentation (time sheets, service orders, Radiation Protection Bureau forms, inventory and expense reports).
- Return defective modules or parts to head office and identify items.
- Manage vehicle inventory and re-stock as necessary.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to him.
**Job Qualifications**:
- College diploma in electronics and/or computer science and/or robotics.
- Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.
- Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.
- Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.
- Good knowledge of networking.
- 2 to 3 years of field repair work experience in the dental or medical environment.
- Experience in electricity or electronics and/or robotics.
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of SAP software an asset.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Excellent command of written and spoken French.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. The employee will work 40% with English-speaking customers and 60% with suppliers outside Quebec. En tant que technicien de service - haute technologie chez Patterson Dentaire, vous aurez à effectuer des réparations, des installations et l’entretien d’équipements de radiologie numérique, CAO/FAO et informatiques sur la route et au bureau. Vous procéderez au dépannage de problèmes logiciels sur des PC fonctionnant en environnement Windows dans des cliniques dentaires.
**Fonctions essentielles**:
- Répondre de manière autonome aux appels des clients qui lui sont assignés, déterminer la nature du problème d'un module ou d'une composante particulière.
- Déterminer les pièces, les fournitures et les outils nécessaires pour traiter la demande de service.
- Communiquer tout problème inhabituel au coordonnateur du service technique suivant chaque appel.
- Garantir que le temps de réponse standard établi avec le coordonnateur de service est respecté.
- Charger, livrer, installer, configurer et former les clients sur l'utilisation et l'entretien de base de l'équipement vendu.
- Utiliser, entretenir et sécuriser les appareils de tests et les outils utilisés pour ajuster, calibrer et réparer les équipements.
- Remplir toute la documentation requise (feuilles de temps, commandes de service, formulaires du Bureau de la radioprotection, rapports d'inventaire et de dépenses).
- Retourner les modules ou les pièces défectueuses au siège social et identifier les articles.
- Maintenir et approvisionner le stock de pièces de la camionnette.
- Exécuter toute autre tâche qui lui est assignée.
**Formation et compétences**:
- Diplôme d’études collégial en électronique et/ou en informatique et/ou en robotique.
- Permis de conduire valide et dossier de conduite en règle.
- Excellent sens de l’organisation et bonnes aptitudes à la résolution de problèmes.
